30 Seconds to Mars

American alternative multiplatinum rock-team "30 seconds to Mars" which plays in art-rock style will perform on the 14th of March in the St. Petersburg Sports and Concert complex! On the December, 7th the team releases the new album "THIS IS WAR", the only concert in Russia in the borders of the tour in order to support the record will take place in St. Petersburg. It is the first and long-expected appearance of the musicians in the North capital.
The team, founded in 1998 by the brothers Jared and Shannon Leto, began it’s history as a family project. In addition Jared is a famous Hollywood actor.
The debute album "30 seconds to Mars" was released in 2002. After the replacement of several guitarists Tomo Milicevic who played violin, guitar and keyboard added to them. The second album, "A Beautiful Lie", appears in 2005.
In 2006 during the ceremony "MTV Video Music Awards" the team received an award in the nomination "MTV2 Award" for the video "The Kill". Besides that their album "A Beautiful Lie" got the platinum status of RIAA. In autumn MTV2 arranged the premiere of the video on the song "From Yesterday" – this is the first American rock-video shooted in People’s Republic of China.
In 2007 the team won in several nominations at once: "Best New Artist" on the TRL MTV festival in Italy, "Video of the Year" and "Best Rock Video" on the "MEM Australia Video Music Awards".
In spring of the same year "30 Seconds to Mars" arranged the grandiose show on the "KROQ Weenie Roast Y Fiesta 2007" festival, where "A Beautiful Lie", "Battle of One", "From Yesterday", "The Fantasy" и "The Kill" were performed.
From the moment of release of the album "A Beautiful Lie" the team played more then 500 concerts, including the largest musical festivals as "Lollapalooza" in USA, "Pinkpop" in Holland, "Summer Sonic" in Japan and others.
