The Bolshoy Theater. New Stage
Before the end of reconstruction the performances will take place on the New Stage and on the stage of the State Kremlin Palace.
The Bolshoy Theater always was and still stays one of the basic symbols of our state’s greatness and its culture. The theater can answer this status only on conditions of constant and quick artistic development, based on using of all development factors: inside and outside, traditional and modern, domestic and foreign. As the history of the world music theater already proved, the quick and stable theater’s development can be possible only at that time when it creates and shows new performances of high artistic quality, which can be compared with the performances of the best world musical centers. For achieving this the new ideas, new approaches to creativity, new level of technology of creating the performances are wanted.
During the last years the Bolshoy Theater proved that it can set the very various creative problems and assure the result of high quality.
The reconstruction of the Bolshoy Theater is hold to save the historical architectural theater’s ensemble and the stage’s retrofit is needed to creating of modern performances of the world level.
After the end of reconstruction the Bolshoy Theater will as well save the centuries-old traditions of Russian music theater and become the absolutely equivalent participant of the world theatrical process, the symbol of news strong Russia, a feather in one’s cap for every citizen of our country.
