 Boris Godunov"Boris Godunov" is one of the most famous repertoire Russian operas. Also it is the absolute champion on the number of editions in which it performs. Musorgsky leaves us two author’s edition, Rimsky-Korsakov – five (!) different versions. In the year of centennial from Dmitry Dmitrievich Shostakovich’s date of birth "Helicon-Opera" handles the edition made by him in 1940 for the Bolshoy theater. Began from new arranging of Musorgsky’s clavier for instruments, Shostakovich soon transformed to co-author in part. The destiny of this score was not simple. The opening night took place only in 1960 in Kirovsky theater in Leningrad. This edition is performed extremely seldom because it is very hard for rendition. All troupe of "Helicon-Opera" is used in this performance, first of all the unique team of bass singers who collected in the theater during last years.
